As a part of the planned renovations and additions to Fayetteville High School’s building, the current gymnasiums are being demolished to allow room for construction of classrooms. While the school is idle during spring break, crews began preparing the building for the coming months of construction and began tearing down the main and auxiliary gymnasiums. After 60 years of use, the main gymnasium’s demolition was cause for many to stop by the school and watch.
