As someone who does not have a green-thumb at all, I’m always excited to see the community come together to make gardens and be the gardener I could never be. With the help of the Illinois River Watershed Project, Holt Middle School in Fayetteville created a rain garden Wednesday which will act as an agent to recycle rain water otherwise lost to the streets of Fayetteville. The kids seem to have a great time planting the garden and I think that it was act as a great tool for them to demonstrate their responsibility as emerging teenagers.
