Origami Purple Cranes at Butterfield

Butterfield Trail Elementary’s 4th and 5th graders are on a mission. They are trying to make 1,000 origami purple cranes and we went to teacher Jennifer Condron’s 4th grade class to shoot them taking a break from their regular work to make cranes. The Purple Crane Project was developed to brings awareness to those with pancreatic cancer by working with local elementary school students to fold purple origami cranes. The cranes are then delivered as symbols of hope to people at local medical centers who have been diagnosed.
