Fayetteville High hosted Bentonville High Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in girls and boys basketball at FHS. The Bentonville girls won, 44-37, after Fayetteville came from behind to tie the game at 25, but went cold. The Fayetteville boys adjusted to a quick 12 points from Bentonville senior Nick Smith and rolled to a 62-48 win in the night cap.

The crowd at the game was really into the game and the new FHS gym had the spirit of the old gym. I wondered if the new place would ever be as loud and intimate as the old gym, but with Bentonville in town, the students from both schools came out and made it a great atmosphere.
