Fayetteville High School hosted Van Buren in girls and boys basketball and won both games. The girls won, 55-48, while the boys won, 35-23.

The girls game was fun to watch and was close for most of the duration of the game. The boys game was close, but only because Van Buren elected to hold the ball for minutes at a time. The second half was a new experience with no scoring for either team in the third quarter and 13 total points scored in the fourth quarter by both teams. I understand that Van Buren benefits if it plays Fayetteville close, but it was not very much fun to watch.
