Tonight’s game was very physical. In fact, I realized tonight that soccer might be the most physical sport I shoot in terms of girls athletics. I think it makes for some interesting photos – images you can feel the intensity and determination of the player.

Another great cross-town rivalry double-header. If you have never been to a Har-Ber v. Springdale game, I encourage you to go – these kids never disappoint on the field or court, and the audience always make their presence known. Tonight the crowd was especially rambunctious with horns at the game. There were some amazing goals by the Springdale boys team I saw but, unfortunately, because my lens was so long (400), I was unable to get a shot of them.

I shot two games in the Northwest Arkansas Showcase yesterday. Both games were Bentonville boy’s game. The first was a semi-final game versus Springdale Har-Ber and the second was the championship game versus Bryant. Here are some of my favorites from both games.

Rogers and Heritage’s boy’s soccer teams had a showdown at Mountie Stadium on Friday night. As of this posting the game had gone into overtime. This was the most action-packed 30 minutes of soccer I’ve shot in recent memory. I left with 10 minutes left in the first half after the light began to fade. If the game had started earlier I would’ve hung around to the end. It was that good of a soccer match. Here are some of my favorites from the short time I was there.
The Lady Tigers had a shutout victory over the Lady Mounties on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at the Tiger Athletic Complex in Bentonville. Here are some photos from the game.

Today and last week I shot some photos at the Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp in Springdale and Rogers. Ajay Nwosu, a coach with Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp, said the soccer camp provides young players with soccer coaching from a team of international experts from the United Kingdom. He said the campers learn individual foot skills, technical drills, lessons in self-discipline, good sportsmanship and respect for others and for the game. To me it just looked like a lot of fun.
Enjoy!
